The Hunting Hut

Located just along the ridgeline, The Hunting hut is The Black Barn’s on-farm accommodation. A fresh take on the classic kiwi bach, its four stand-alone pods (one was the original hunting hut on the farm) are connected together by an outdoor deck giving it an al fresco feel. At the front, the kitchen/dining and lounge pods make the most of the stunning views and outdoor living with stacker sliding doors that open onto the deck. The two sleeping pods each have a double and a bunk room, providing accomodation for up to 12 guests. The bunks are king single sized and have quality pocket-sprung mattresses comfortable for all ages. The ‘infinity edge’ lawn is flanked by gorgeous pohutukawa trees and a genuine Stoked hot tub provides a memorable soak with one of the most stunning backdrops you’ll ever bathe in.
